How it works
Brings the day-to-day running of your school into one place: the calendar, attendance, groups, the user list and your team, finance, announcements and contact with the Classes team. It is available to the school's owner and to its employees.
At the top of the side menu you pick the organisation you are working in (the organisation picker). Once you pick a school you own or work for, an Admin Actions section appears under it. It holds the dashboard entries: Calendar, Attendance, Groups, Users, Finance, Announcements and Help desk. If you pick an organisation you only attend, you see the menu for attendees instead, with no admin dashboard.
Which entries you see depends on your role: the owner sees all of them, an employee only those they have a permission for. Attendance, Users and Help desk are open to every employee.
The Users section has two tabs: Users (everyone) and Employees (owner only). The school's settings are not an entry in the dashboard, they open from the organisation picker.
Good to know
If you don't see the Admin Actions section, either the organisation you picked isn't one you manage, or you are not the owner or an employee of any school.
If you open the address of a section you don't have permission for, the dashboard sends you back to Users.
On a phone there is a bar at the bottom with up to four sections (Calendar, Announcements or Attendance, Groups or Users, Finance); the rest are in the side menu.

Organisation picker
The button at the top of the side menu where you choose which school you are working in.
Lets you switch between the schools you own, work for or attend, from any page.
The button shows the name of the picked school and "Switch organisation". The menu has two lists: My organisations (the schools you manage, tagged "Administrator" for the owner or "Staff") and Organisations I attend. Each school is listed once, even if you are both its owner and an employee. Your pick decides what you see below it: for a school you manage, the admin dashboard; for one you attend, the attendee menu. Further down the menu are New organisation and Search organisations, and for the owner and for employees with the right permission also Organisation settings. Your choice is remembered. Switching school resets the search, filters and page of the user list.
If you have no school at all, the menu says "You have no organisations yet." and the dashboard shows a message that you are not an owner or employee of any organisation.
If you pick a school you don't manage and open a dashboard address, you see a message asking you to pick one you manage.
Organisation settings button
Opens the settings of the picked school.

Takes you to the school's profile, rooms, colours, contract, payments and other settings.
It is in the organisation picker menu, below the lists. It shows for the owner and for employees with the Edit organisation profile or Manage events and their sessions permission. What exactly you can change there depends on your permissions. See the article on school settings.

Lets the owner invite staff, give them permissions and assign them to groups.
Only the owner of the selected school sees it. If an employee opens its address directly, they are sent back to Users.
"No groups assigned to you yet" notice
A warning for an employee whose access is limited to their own groups but who has none yet.
"No groups assigned to you yet" notice
A warning for an employee whose access is limited to their own groups but who has none yet.
Explains to the employee why the dashboard lists are empty and what to do about it.
It shows at the top of the dashboard when the owner has limited your access to Only their groups and you are not assigned to any group. Until the owner assigns you to one, you won't see members, sessions or other group-related data.
The notice goes away once the owner assigns you to a group or gives you access to All groups.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I see the Employees tab?
Only the school's owner has it. Employees only see the Users tab.
Why can't I open Finance?
Finance needs the View financials permission. Without it the entry is hidden, and if you open its address the dashboard sends you back to Users.
Where are the school settings?
In the organisation picker at the top of the side menu there is "Organisation settings". It shows for the owner and for employees who may edit the organisation profile or manage events.
