Roles: owner, employee and member
What the owner, an employee and a member can each do in a school.
Ask ClassyExplains the three roles in a school so you know who sees what and who can change what.
Owner: the person who created the school. They always have every permission for every group, and that can't be restricted. Only the owner can invite employees, change their permissions and reach, and assign them to groups.
Employee: someone who joined the team through a staff invite link. They see the admin dashboard and the member list, but can only do what the owner has given them permission for, and only in the groups they can reach.
Member: a person (or a parent's child) enrolled in at least one of the school's groups. Members have no access to the admin dashboard.
The same account can hold different roles in different schools.
Good to know
An employee with no permissions at all still sees the member list, names, groups and join date, but no contact details and no way to change anything.
The app has no button for removing an employee from the team.
