  2. 2

  3. 3

If a child attends, press Add child and fill in their details.

  4. 4

  5. 5

    Press Add member.

How it works

Lets you keep people in Classes who attend your school but have no account, for example a parent who doesn't want to install the app. You can then track their attendance, charges and payments.

Open it with the Add member button above the member list. Only a first name and at least one group are needed, for the person or for one of their children. Everything else is optional.

Each person picks their own groups: often only the child attends and the parent just pays. The new member gets the "No app account" icon in the list and receives no notifications. You can link them to a real account later.

You need the Manage members permission. An employee limited to their own groups can only enrol into those.

Good to know

If the school has only one group, it is ticked for you.

If something fails, the window stays open with your details so you can fix them and try again.

On this screen

Add a member without an account window

The form with the person's details, their children and groups.

Collects everything needed to create a member without an account.

At the top it reads: "For people who attend your organization but don't use the app. You can enter just a first name, everything else is optional." The form has three parts: Member details, Kids and Groups. Errors appear after your first attempt to save.

Member details section

The adult's personal details.

Decides who the person is in the list.

Holds first name, last name, phone, date of birth and country.

First name field

The person's first name. Required.

The only required field for the person themselves.

Between 2 and 50 characters. If shorter you see "First name must be at least 2 characters."

Last name field

The person's last name. Optional.

Helps tell apart people with the same first name.

Optional. If you fill it in, it must be 2 to 50 characters, otherwise saving is refused.

Phone field

A contact phone number. Optional.

Gives you a way to reach someone who gets no notifications.

Optional. If filled in, it must be 7 to 20 characters. It shows in the Contact column to people with the View member contact details permission.

Date of birth field

The adult's date of birth. Optional.

Lets the person's age be shown.

Optional. It can't be in the future or before 1 January 1900.

Country field

The person's country. Bulgaria by default.

Records which country the person is from.

Bulgaria is preselected; you can pick another country.

Kids section

The person's children who attend the school.

Lets you add a parent together with one or more children.

Press Add child to get a Child 1, Child 2… card. The bin icon (Remove child) removes the card. For a child only the first and last name are needed. School / kindergarten and date of birth are optional. If a name is missing or a school is shorter than 2 characters, you see "Fill in the child's first and last name. A school, if given, needs at least 2 characters."

Add child button

Adds a card for another child.

Lets you enrol one of the parent's children.

The new child is opened straight away in the Groups section so you can pick their groups.

Child's first and last name

The child's first and last name. Required.

Decides how the child appears in the list.

Each field is 2 to 50 characters.

School / kindergarten field

The child's school. Optional.

Records where the child studies, if you know.

It can be left empty. If you fill it in, it is between 2 and 100 characters.

Child's date of birth

Date of birth

The child's date of birth. Optional.

Used to work out the child's age in the list, if entered.

It can be left empty, then the child's age is not shown. If you enter it, the child must be under 18: the date must fall between today and 18 years ago.

Groups section

Which groups the person and their children join.

Enrols each person into their own groups.

With no children it's a plain checklist, with the count beside the heading ("2 selected").

With children it reads "Each person picks their own groups, often only the child attends." and each child has a row that expands to a checklist; the row shows the count or No groups. The parent has no row until you press + Add the parent to groups too.

At least one group in total is required. Otherwise you see "Select at least one group." or, with children, "Select at least one group for the parent or a child."

"+ Add the parent to groups too" button

Shows a row for the parent's own groups.

For when the parent attends sessions as well.

Only shown when children have been added and the parent has no groups picked yet.

Add member button in the window

Creates the member and enrols them in the chosen groups.

Finishes adding.

On success you see "Member added successfully.", the window closes and the list refreshes. Cancel closes the window without saving and clears the form.

Frequently asked questions

Does the parent have to be in a group?

No. It's enough for one child to be in a group. The parent's groups only appear after "+ Add the parent to groups too".

Will the person get notifications?

No. A member without an account gets no notifications until they're linked to an account.
