How it works
Lets you announce that a session won't take place (and bring it back), or remove a session or a whole series from the schedule.
You need the Manage events and their sessions permission. Open the session on the Calendar page of the admin dashboard and press the cancel sign or the bin. The confirmation shows in the same window; Back returns to the preview.
Cancelling: the session stays on the calendar, marked as cancelled, and can be reinstated. Attendees get a class-cancelled notification. A cancelled session's window no longer shows the attendance buttons or the Mark attendance link, and data already entered for it is kept.
Deleting: the session disappears from the calendar at once, but you have 30 seconds to bring it back with the Undo button in the “…deleted” notice (it counts down). Only when the time runs out is the deletion sent, and then it is final. If you close or reload the page within those 30 seconds, the browser asks first, and if you leave anyway the session is not deleted.
- Delete This Event removes one session from a series. Attendees who hadn't said they won't come get a class-removed notification.
- Delete All Events (or Delete event for a one-off session) deletes the whole series. No notification is sent for this.
Good to know
Cancelling works on one session. To cancel several sessions of a series, cancel them one at a time.
If you want parents to know a session won't happen, cancel it rather than delete it, on cancellation they get a notification and see a cancelled session in their calendar.
Only a session from a series with more than one session can be deleted on its own.
The class-removed notification is sent only after the 30 seconds are up, not the moment you press the button.

Gives you 30 seconds to change your mind about deleting.
After you confirm a delete, the window closes, the session leaves the calendar and a notice “…deleted” appears at the bottom with this button and a countdown in seconds. Press it to bring the session (or the whole series) back to the calendar unchanged. When the time runs out the button goes away and the deletion is final. Don't confuse it with Cancel Event, which announces that a session won't take place.
