Recurring sessions
How session series work, frequency, count, individual sessions and changing just one or the whole series.
Ask ClassyLets you put a whole season on the schedule in one go, for example every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of term, instead of each session separately.
A recurring session is a series: one template (title, times, group, room, colour, limit) and many individual sessions on dates. The repeat is chosen at creation under Schedule:
- Daily: every day from the start date until Repeat until.
- Weekly on …: on the chosen weekdays; the start date's weekday is always among them.
- Monthly on the …th: on the same day of every month.
The number of sessions is worked out from the dates (at most 10,000). Recurring sessions stay within one day, only a one-off event can span several days.
What can change later
- The frequency, days and number of sessions can't be changed after creation.
- A single session can be moved to another date or time, get a different title, description or colour, be cancelled or be deleted. The other sessions are untouched.
- The whole series can get a new title, description, colour, room and times, or be moved. If you move the series by some days, the weekdays move by the same number of days (Monday and Wednesday become Tuesday and Thursday).
- Groups, people and leaders always apply to the whole series.
The details of each session in a series say Repeats: …, for example Repeats: Weekly on Tuesday, Thursday.
Good to know
A session that was changed on its own keeps its changes when you edit the whole series.
A series of a single session is shown as a one-off, there is no this-one or all choice for it.
