Top buttons on phones

The round buttons at the top of the screen on phones and tablets: the menu and the page's quick actions.

Ask Classy

Gives you the menu and the most important actions of the page without taking space from the content.

Shown on narrow screens, in a phone browser and in the mobile app. It isn't there on a computer, where the menu sits on the left.

It isn't a bar, but a few translucent round buttons floating over the page. The page scrolls underneath them and they don't hide. The menu button is always on the left, and on the right some pages show their own quick buttons, for example the calendar and the admin pages.

On this screen

Open menu button

The round three-line button at the top left.

Opens the side menu with the school picker, the school's pages, your profile and notifications.

The menu slides in from the left over the page. Swiping right from the left edge of the screen does the same. If you have unread notifications, their count shows as a badge on the button, and the bell is inside the menu.

Page quick buttons

The round buttons on the right that some pages show.

Give you the page's most common actions in one tap.

Each page decides which buttons to show. For example, the school's calendar shows Filters (with a number when filters are on) and, if you may manage events, Add Event. On a computer the same actions are in the bar above the content. Pages without such actions show only the menu button.
