Press Join Group or Request to Join.

How it works

This is where you learn what the group is about and enrol in it, straight away if it is public, or with a request if it is private.

The page shows the group's name and description, who in your family is enrolled, its admins and the school it belongs to. The enrol button stays visible while there is still someone to enrol. On a phone it is under the description.

  • Public group: press Join Group and you become a member immediately.
  • Private group: press Request to Join. The group's admins are notified of the request. When they approve or decline it, you get a notification saying so.

If you have children added to your profile, the button opens a window where you choose whom to enrol; the children come first, and enrolling yourself is behind a separate link.

Once you are a member, the school may automatically issue a charge for the group's plans. If the school accepts online payments, members also see a Plans section with their plans and packs.

Good to know

Staff who manage the group do not see the enrol button. They see a Manage link to group management in the admin area.

The group's member list and requests are not on this page, staff manage them in the admin area.

If the school is inactive, the group page doesn't open and you are sent back to the school's page.

A declined request doesn't stop you from requesting again.

On this screen

Description section

The group's full description, written by the school.

Tells you what the group is for, who it is for and what to expect.

The text is exactly as the school entered it. Below it, in the same card, are your family's enrolments, the admins and the link to the school.

Your Enrollment section

Who in your family is a member of this group.

Confirms that enrolment went through, and for whom.

Shows a You label if you are enrolled and a label with the first name of each enrolled child (or Kid if the name can't be loaded). Only shown if someone in your family is a member and you are not school staff.

Group Admin section

The people who run the group.

Shows you who is responsible for the group.

The heading reads Group Admin for one person and Group Admins for more. The first is shown larger, the rest are listed below. Tapping a person opens their profile.

Private / Public label

Shows how you get into the group.

Tells you in advance whether you become a member straight away or wait for approval.

  • Public: pressing Join Group makes you a member immediately.
  • Private: pressing Request to Join sends a request for approval.

The label sits above the enrol button and disappears with it once everyone in your family is already a member.

Join Group / Request to Join button

Enrols you or your child in the group.

Starts enrolment, directly for a public group or with a request for a private one.

The wording depends on the group and your family:

  • Join Group: public group; you become a member immediately.
  • Request to Join: private group; a request is sent.
  • Manage Membership: you have children in your profile and someone in your family is already enrolled or waiting for approval.

If you have no children in your profile, the button enrols you directly and disappears once you are a member or your request has been sent. If you have children, it opens the Select Who to Enroll window and stays visible until you and all your children are members or waiting for approval. Once every child is enrolled or waiting, the button turns into a quieter outlined one, so you don't enrol yourself by mistake.

School staff don't see this button.

Select Who to Enroll window

Choosing whether to enrol one of your children, or yourself.

Lets you enrol each family member separately, without enrolling the wrong person.

The children come first, each on a separate row: the name, with Kid below it. Above them it reads "Tap the child who will attend this class." On the right of each row is one of:

  • a Join Group or Request to Join button, press it to enrol that child;
  • a Member label, the child is already a member;
  • a Pending label with a clock, the request for that child is waiting for approval and can't be sent again.

Enrolling yourself is hidden behind the link "I am the one attending, not my child". It opens a warning ("Careful: this enrolls you, the parent, as a participant in the group. Your kids do not need you to be a member..."), a card with your name and a tick box "I understand, I will attend the classes myself." The button to enrol you (Enrol myself or Request a place for myself) only unlocks after the tick; "Choose a child instead" takes you back. If you are already a member or waiting for approval, your row is shown straight away under "You".

After each enrolment a green message appears ("Enrolled successfully." or "Request sent. The organiser will review it, you don't need to do anything else.") with a Done button. Each row is enrolled separately. Close the window with the X button, the Escape key or by tapping outside it.

Request status

Pending

Where the request for each person in a private group stands.

Shows whom you are waiting on approval for, and for whom you can send a request.

  • Pending: the request was sent and is waiting for an admin. The button for that person is hidden.
  • Member: the request was approved and the person is a member.
  • A declined request, the row shows the Request to Join button again so you can try again.
  • Someone who was a member and was removed can also send a new request.

Enrolled and pending labels

You are enrolled

Below the button, who in your family is already enrolled or waiting for approval.

Reminds you whom you have already enrolled while you enrol the rest.

They appear under Manage Membership when you have children in your profile and someone is already a member or waiting for approval: You are enrolled for you, and the first name of each enrolled child (or Kid enrolled if the name can't be loaded). A yellow label with a clock, such as "You · Pending" or "[name] · Pending", means that person's request is waiting. When there are pending requests, the text "Waiting for the organiser to approve. You don't need to do anything else." appears under the labels.

Request Pending status

Your request for a private group is waiting for approval.

Confirms the request was received, so you don't send it again.

Shown in place of the button when you have no children in your profile and your request for a private group has been sent. It stays until an admin approves or declines it. If you have children, each request's status is shown in the Select Who to Enroll window.

Plans section

Your plans and packs related to this group.

Shows what you pay for the group and where to pay.

Only visible to members, and only if the school accepts online payments. It shows this group's plans that you or your children are on, plus all your packs at the school. If you have neither plans nor packs, the section is hidden. Charges on plans can be paid from here with Pay €… (only on the group page), and all your unpaid charges are also under To pay in the Payments tab.
