What parents and members see about attendance

Where a parent or member sees the effects of attendance recorded by the school.

Explains the difference between your sign-up for a session and the attendance the school records, and where to check your pack credits and the coach's notes.

Attendance is recorded by school staff. The record itself, here or not here on a given date, isn't shown to members or parents, and no notification is sent when it's marked.

Here's what you do see:

  • Sign-up: when you choose in the calendar whether you'll attend, that's your intention. It isn't recorded attendance. The school can switch this off or set how long before the session you can change your answer.
  • Pack credits: on sessions that count toward packs, each visit the school records lowers your remaining credits. Check them under My packs on the group page or in the session preview in the calendar.
  • Shared notes: if the coach shares a note with you, you get a notification and see it in the school's Lessons tab under Shared notes.
  • Lessons: when the school publishes a lesson for a session you confirmed or were marked for, you get a new lesson notification.

Good to know

If you have several children, choose the child in the Lessons tab to see their lessons and notes.

If you think a credit was used for a visit your child didn't make, contact the school, staff can correct the mark and the credit is returned.

Shared notes section

Notes the school team has shared with you.

Shows the coaches' observations they chose to show you.

It is in the school's Lessons tab. Each note has its text and Shared by staff with a date. Notes the team keeps to itself aren't shown. With none shared it reads 'No notes have been shared with you yet.'

Visits owed card

Visits recorded by the school while there was no active pack.

Shows how many visits will be taken from the next pack.

It appears under My packs on the group page, for example '2 visits attended without a pack', with 'These are deducted automatically from the next pack you buy.'

Credits left in the session preview

You have {{count}} pack credits left

How many credits you have left, shown on a session in the calendar.

Lets you check your balance before the session.

It shows in the preview of sessions that count toward packs. With no active pack it reads 'You have no active pack, classes you attend are counted as visits owed and deducted from your next pack'.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see which sessions my child attended?

Not directly. The school keeps attendance internally. You see how many pack credits were used and how many visits are owed, plus notes the coach shared with you.

What does Visits owed mean?

Your child attended sessions recorded by the school without an active pack. Those visits are taken automatically from the next pack you buy.
