How the owner decides whether users mark "Attending / Not attending" for a session themselves, and until when.

How it works
Gives you control over whether users say beforehand if they are coming, and how long before the session that answer gets locked.
The rule is in the Attendance answers section of Settings, in the Scheduling group. Only the owner sees and changes it, because it applies to every user of the school. Each change is saved straight away and shows "Attendance answer settings saved."
The Members can mark their attendance switch (Allowed or Off) turns the possibility on or off entirely. When it is off, users see "Attendance is marked by the organisation." at the session.
The Lock answers before the session list sets how long they can set or change their answer: Until the session starts, or 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day or 2 days before it. It starts at 1 hour. The list is disabled while the switch is off.
Staff can always mark on behalf of users and the rule does not limit them. A session that has already taken place is always locked.

Gives the team time to know who is coming before the session starts.
Pick one row: Until the session starts, "30 minutes before", "1 hour before", "2 hours before", "6 hours before", "12 hours before", "1 day before" or "2 days before". After that point users can no longer set or change their answer, while staff always can. The choice is saved straight away. It is disabled while the switch is off.
Frequently asked questions
Can parents change their answer at the last minute?
Only until the chosen deadline. After it the answer is locked for users, but staff can change it for them.
