How it works
Issues a separate charge to each selected member with the same amount, description and due date. Use it for one-off amounts outside payment plans.
Press New charge in the page header of the Charges tab. Pick members, optionally a group, enter the amount each, the due date and a description, then Create charge.
A separate Pending charge is created for each selected person. Every payer gets a "New charge" notification with the school name and amount. If the school has Stripe connected, the member can pay online; otherwise they see the amount and due date with instructions to pay in person. If a charge is still unpaid after its due date, the payer gets automatic overdue notices, one a day, up to three.
Only members of the school can be charged. If your access is limited to certain groups, pick a group you have access to, or members outside your groups will be skipped.
This window is shared with Add payment: the Already paid switch at the top turns it into a payment record. You can also open it from a user's details panel with Issue charge, with that user already chosen.
Good to know
If a member, amount, description or due date is missing you see "Please select at least one member, amount, description and due date." and nothing is created.
On failure you see "Failed to create charge. Please try again.": check the description is at least 3 characters.
For money you have already received, use Add payment (or switch on Already paid) rather than a new charge.

Frequently asked questions
Can I charge a whole group at once?
Yes, tick every member of the group in the list. For regular monthly fees it's easier to create a payment plan on the **Plans** tab.
Can the charges have different amounts?
Not in one window, the amount is the same for everyone. Create them separately, or correct an amount later from the charge details.
