How it works
Lets you colour the calendar with your school's own colours, for example one per programme or room, instead of picking only from the built-in ones.
The colours are in the Event colours section of Settings, in the Scheduling group. The section shows with the Manage events and their sessions permission.
The colours you add are offered first when creating an event, in the order you added them. Each added colour takes the place of one built-in colour, so the row of colours does not get longer. An event keeps the colour it was given: if you later remove the colour from the list, events already created do not change.
You can have at most 30 colours. A colour looks like #A1B2C3 (six characters, with or without the #) and is saved in capital letters.
Good to know
If the code is not valid it says "Enter a hex colour like #A1B2C3." and Add is disabled.
You cannot add a colour that is already built in ("That colour is already one of the built-in ones.") or already in the list ("That colour is already in the list.").

This is how you create your own colour for events.
The round field on the left opens a colour picker, and next to it you can type the code. Enter works too. The Add button is disabled while the colour is invalid, built in or already added, and a hint under the field says why. On success you see "Colour added."
Remove button on a colour
The small X on each colour that takes it off the palette.
Remove button on a colour
The small X on each colour that takes it off the palette.
Removes a colour you no longer use.
On a computer the X appears when you point at the colour, on a phone it is always visible. It takes effect straight away, with no confirmation, and shows "Colour removed." Events already created keep their colour. With no custom colours it says "No custom colours yet."
Frequently asked questions
Do events already created change colour if I remove a colour?
No. Events keep their colour. Removing only takes it off the list offered for a new event.
